A sea journey through the fabled lands of the north.
Hey there!
Welcome to Adventure Fix, the newsletter that helps you discover extraordinary journeys and experiences across the globe.
Today we are heading to Kangerlussuaq, Greenland to…
Follow the route of Norse explorer Leif Erickson and sail from Greenland to Labrador Island, Canada.
Aboard a small expedition ship equipped with Zodiacs (small tenders), you’ll get access to some of the wildest places in the Arctic.
Cruise Kangerlussuaq to St. John’s
On this voyage, you’ll explore the remarkable regions of the north.
Encounter a historic Viking village and the fascinating traditions of local Inuit communities.
Hike the tundra in search of caribou and arctic foxes. Kayak and cruise by Zodiac to spot whales, walruses, and polar bears along the rugged shores.
Sailing south over the Arctic Circle, the first stop is the intricate coastal waterways of the Kangerlussuatsiaq Fjord.
Watch from either the ship or Zodiac calving glaciers toppling into the water and streams cascading against a towering mountain backdrop.
Then it’s off to cross the Davis Strait to Canada. Keep your binoculars ready to spot whales and seabirds who follow in the ship’s wake.
Reaching Canada

On the Canadian coast, the ship will spend a few days near Torngat Mountains National Park, the only NP in the country staffed completely by Inuit.
It’s a treeless, mountainous tundra where some of Canada’s highest peaks east of the Rockies are found.
Be on the lookout for marine mammals, polar and black bears, caribou, falcons, and eagles.
After 4 days it’s time to journey south following the rugged Labrador coast, where you’ll find a diverse geography of coastal barrens, high subarctic tundra, high boreal forest, mid-boreal forest, string bog, and islands.
Across the Strait of Belle Isle in Newfoundland, we’ll roam North America’s only authenticated Norse site before sailing the picturesque coast of northeast Newfoundland.
The voyage comes to a close in North America’s oldest city, St. John’s—the vibrant capital of Newfoundland and Labrador.
