Diving with Massive Basking Sharks

Here’s a quick clip of an amazing encounter with Irish Basking Sharks just off Kilkee Co. Clare in Ireland. About 20 sharks gathered together to court.

They form tight groups and swim in an orchestrated circular motion, going around in circles, with the tips of their fins just breaking the surface​Basking sharks are the second largest fish in the world, after whale sharks. A full grown one can reach up to 35 feet in length. Despite their size, they are passive and aren’t threatening to humans.
