Black-bellied Pangolin

These shy and gentle creatures are the most trafficked non-human mammals in the world. Their meat is considered a delicacy and pangolin scales are used in traditional medicine predominantly in Asian countries. There are 8 species of pangolins. Four are found in Asia and the other four in Africa.
