Hi!
After a long hiatus, we are back with your weekly dose of adventure inspiration. As you might have noticed, Friday Fix is now called Adventure Fix, the name has changed but the concept is the same, a weekly injection of inspiration to help you live your most badass life.
If you’re curious about where I’ve been all this time and what’s the future of this newsletter, I’ll share that with you soon.
Let’s do this
ADVENTURE TRAVEL
Hiking 90 Miles Alone in Picos de Europa Spain
Photo: Kraig Adams
Kraig Adams heads to the Cantabrian Mountains in northern Spain to hike the Picos de Europa. In this video, he brings us along as he walks 90 miles by himself through foggy valleys, rugged mountain passes and tiny villages.
The comment section sums up the overall feel of the video: “Kraig’s films are like a roaring fireplace on a cold frosty day with your favorite beverage in hand. Inspiring, calming, a real treasure.”
WILDLIFE ENCOUNTERS
Swimming With Humpback Whales

Warm water and great visibility make Tonga one of the best places in the world to swim with humpback whales.
This video by Brett Vercoe shows how comfortable these gentle giants are getting close to humans in the water.
TOGETHER WITH SUMMIT
You can’t expect your friends, kids or romantic partner to be as adventurous as you are — which is why Summit set out on a journey to connect adventure junkies all over the world.
Summit is the world’s first social media network only for adventure seekers. It’s the place to go to get your questions answered, share stories and be inspired.
It’s spam free and ads free. Heck, even the price is free.
So if you are an avid hiker, scuba diver, bike packer or all-around adventurer, join Summit and you’ll be in great company.
PACKRAFTING

INSPIRATION
Quote I’m Pondering
“You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island of opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land; there is no other life but this.” ― Henry David Thoreau
Adventure Fix is Back
Over a year ago, we put this weekly email on pause because off the grid adventures were calling. I wanted to fully immerse myself in the experience instead of searching for decent wifi.
During that time, my husband and I bought two motorcycles (Honda CRF300Ls) and rode them down the west coast of Africa. We started in Spain, took a ferry to Algeria and we’ll end in Mozambique. It was an incredible experience. It was intense, challenging and fun.
While riding dusty roads through the vast deserts of Namibia, my mind began to think about what was next. One thought kept coming back, we should revamp “Friday Fix.” So, after all this time away, we’re bringing this weekly email back to life, but even better than before. Next week, I’ll share with you the 2.0 version and would love to hear what you think.
