STAYS

Ovo Patagonia

Photo: Ovo Patagonia

Imagine spending the night suspended 885 feet (270 meters) above the Patagonian wilderness in a transparent capsule with panoramic views of Mount Fitz Roy.

That’s exactly what Ovo Patagonia offers—a one-of-a-kind mix of adventure and comfort, letting you experience nature from an entirely new perspective.

Located within Estancia Bonanza, about 7.5 miles (12 km) from El Chaltén, even reaching your capsule is an adventure. After a 30-minute 4x4 ride, you’ll take a guided half-day hike through native forests before tackling a via ferrata climb to your sleeping pod.

Inside, the capsule has three levels: a cozy bed up top, a lounge area in the middle, and a netted section below for soaking in the views.

Powered by solar energy, with Wi-Fi and fresh air vents, it’s both rugged and comfortable. Meals are delivered to your capsule, so you can fully enjoy the moment.

HIKING ROUTES

Upper Dolpo Trek

Photo: Glorious Himalaya

If you're looking to experience trekking in Nepal the way it used to be, the Dolpo Trek should be on your radar. It’s remote, wild, and way less crowded than the usual trekking hotspots.

Think high-altitude plateaus, deep canyons, and tiny villages that feel like they’re straight out of another century. It’s one of those places where you won’t have Wi-Fi, but you won’t care because the landscapes are next-level.

One of the best spots along the way is Phoksumdo Lake. It is unreal—crystal-clear turquoise water surrounded by towering cliffs. The trek to get there takes you through forests, remote villages, and some seriously stunning mountain views.

And if you keep going past the lake, you’ll hit ancient monasteries and even Crystal Mountain, which is sacred to the locals.

Speaking of locals, the culture in Dolpo is just as fascinating as the scenery. The people here, known as the Dolpo-pa, have lived the same way for centuries, following Tibetan Buddhist traditions.

You’ll see centuries-old monasteries, prayer flags fluttering in the wind, and yaks carrying supplies along the trails. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another world.

This trek isn’t easy—it’s remote and rugged, and you’ll cross some serious mountain passes. But if you’re up for a challenge and want to experience one of the most untouched corners of Nepal, Upper Dolpo is 100% worth it.

ADVENTURE FIX GO

Traveling to Palau: Kayaking Trip or Diving Liveaboard ?

If Palau has been on your radar but you’re unsure if you should go on a kayaking trip or a diving liveaboard, this expedition is for you. Instead of choosing one or the other, you can combine the two into a single trip with our Kayak & Dive Liveaboard Expedition.

Get the best of both worlds with a mixed kayaking/diving trip aboard the Palau Siren liveaboard.

During 8 days, you will explore the outer reef, home to Palau’s most spectacular dive sites, and, at the same time, paddle through the same breathtaking lagoons, hidden bays, and caves that the Rock Islands are famous for.

Every day you can choose between diving or kayaking, taking on whatever you feel like doing on that day. With this unique itinerary, you’ll cover more ground, access more remote locations, and experience the best of Palau—both above and below the water.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“Don't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.”
