Chimpanzee Trekking in Uganda

Kibale National Park is undeniably the best location in Uganda to spot chimpanzees in the wild. This lush rainforest is home to over 1,500 chimpanzees, offering one of the highest concentrations of these fascinating creatures.

Your chances of spotting these intelligent and social apes are exceptionally high, making it an unmissable experience for wildlife enthusiasts.

To go on this adventure, you'll need to lace up your hiking boots and head into the dense jungle with an experienced tracker. Unlike gorillas, chimps are always on the move, so be prepared to walk for hours over steep terrain to keep up with them.

Yangykala Canyon

Turkmenistan, one of the least visited and most sparsely populated countries in Asia, hides a natural wonder in its far western reaches that even most locals have never laid eyes on: Yangykala Canyon.

The name "Yangykala" means "fire fortress" in the local Turkmen language, a fitting description for its glowing cliffs that take on fiery hues during sunrise and sunset. The canyon, carved by wind and water erosion over millions of years, reveals layers of ancient seabed deposits.

Despite its remoteness, Yangykala has become a must-see for adventure travelers and those interested in off-the-beaten-path destinations. The journey to reach the canyon typically involves a rugged drive through Turkmenistan’s desert terrain, but the breathtaking views make it worthwhile.
