Wallis and Futuna

For some, a trip to France conjures up thoughts of croissants and the Eiffel Tower, but for more adventurous travelers, that means visiting the country’s far-flung overseas territories, like Wallis and Fortuna.

This little-known destination in the South Pacific Ocean is made up of three main volcanic islands—Wallis, Futuna, and Alofi.

The islands are full of ways to explore. Standup paddle and snorkel Wallis’s turquoise lagoons, trek the lush jungles of Futuna, and dive Alofi’s pristine scuba sites.

Top places to visit include the cannibal oven at Lafua, the Tongan Fortress, Lalolalo Crater Lake, Loka Cave, and Poi Basilica.

Ski Touring in Georgia
